Roderick McIllree

Executive Chairman

Rod is an experienced mining executive, based in London, with a deep understanding of global finance, M&A, project management, international logistics and precious and base metal production. Rod was, until very recently, the founding Executive Chairman at AIM traded Bluejay Mining Plc where he built the company from inception. He is currently an Executive Director at Standard listed, More Acquisitions Plc. Rod is Chairman of the company’s Nomination Committee

Troy Whittaker

IOCA CEO

Troy has 20+ years international commercial and project development experience for leading mining firms and was involved as a key executive in developing FMG’s T155 and magnetite mine projects. He has held senior leadership roles in Fortescue Metals Group Ltd, Sirius Minerals PLC and Anglo-American UK.

Dan Smith

Non-Executive Director

Dan Smith has over 12-years of Capital Markets experience in Executive and Non-Executive Director roles and has served as Company Secretary for multiple Corporations listed on AIM, ASX and NSX, making him very familiar with the regulated environment of listed companies.  Dan is the Co-Founder of Minerva Corporate, a corporate services firm, which specialises in providing corporate advisory, company secretarial, and director services to listed and unlisted companies, as well as compliance manager services for IPOs and RTOs across multiple sectors (including natural resources). Dan holds a BA in International Relations from Curtin University and a post-grad Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. He is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. Dan is Chairman of the company’s Remuneration Committee and a member of both the Audit and Nomination Committees.

 

Mark Culbert

Non-Executive Director

Mark has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer. In 2006 he co-founded UK based law firm  iLaw heads the firm’s litigation team. Areas of expertise include, commercial, intellectual property, technology and media legal matters. Mark represented corporate clients in one of the largest disputes in London; the US$ 1 billion dispute between the Kazakh JSC BTA Bank and Mukhtar Ablyazov and others. He also worked on the Tajik Aluminium litigation in London a US$ 450 million law suit. Mark is Chairman of the company’s Audit Committee and and a member of the Remuneration Committee

 

Jo Battershill

Non-Executive Director

Jo’s mining career spans over 25 years in operations, business development and finance-based roles across Australia, the UK, North America and the Caribbean. He was an executive director of UBS in both Sydney and London before becoming managing director for Cannacord in London. He has extensive knowledge and connections within the mining finance industry, having been part of globally top ranked mining ECM/Sales between 2008 and 2021. Jo is member of all three of the company’s committees (Nomination, Remuneration and Audit).

 

Jane Kirton

Jane Kirton co-owns SJCS along with Phil Dexter. Jane Kirton has over 20 years’ experience in the company secretarial environment and became a qualified Chartered Secretary in 2007. Alongside Phil, Jane has worked with most of the leading South African mining companies and assisted on numerous corporate transactions involving acquisitions, reorganisations and restructurings, rights offers and fund raisings.
